    Today, Thursday, the Sudanese Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a, described the electronic payment companies' deductions for the salaries of employees and retirees as "clear unfairness to the citizen," directing the announcement of new standards in this regard.
    Al-Sudani’s office stated in a statement received by “Baghdad Today”, that he “presided today, Thursday, a meeting of the Committee for the Localization of Salaries and the Unified Treasury Account, in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the Minister of Finance, the Prime Minister’s advisors, the general managers of Al-Rafidian and Al-Rasheed Banks and the Iraqi Trade Bank, and the representative of the Federal Office of Financial Supervision. ".

    The meeting discussed "the unified treasury account, the settlement of employees' salaries in all state departments, the application of the electronic payment system (pos), and the negotiation of contracting with an international consulting company, to advance the reality of lagging banks."

     “Electronic payment companies were also discussed and their work evaluated, and a lot was discussed about the sums that are deducted from the salaries of employees, retirees and social protection as a result of contracts previously concluded between banks and these companies, and what they contain of clear injustice to the citizen,” according to the statement.

    Al-Sudani directed to "prepare new standards and announce the opening of competition between all electronic payment companies, which number about 16, and contract with companies that provide the best services at lower costs."
    And he directed to "follow up the work of the committees that were formed to study the amount of money deducted from the salaries of the beneficiaries at any withdrawal or service. It was decided that all electronic payment companies specialized in localizing the salaries of employees and beneficiaries should be subject to follow-up and competition."

    While stressing "not allowing the employee or the beneficiary to be a hostage to other parties," stressing during the meeting that "the unified treasury account system will contribute to reducing corruption."
    The meeting witnessed an emphasis on "the importance of the unified government account, which allows access to the actual daily balance of the government to determine its expenditures, rather than distributing them to more than one account, and it also allows for filtering accounts and removing duplicates from them."
