    Today, Sunday, Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani and his Egyptian counterpart, Mustafa Madbouly, chaired the official talks held between the delegations of the two countries, within the framework of the official visit that Al-Sudani is making to Cairo, which he arrived this morning.
    Al-Sudani affirmed, according to a statement by his office, "Iraq's desire to work on developing relations, raising the level of trade exchange, and activating joint committees between the two countries to the level of implementation."
    For his part, Madbouly stressed, "the importance of work and bilateral cooperation between the two countries to face the effects of the various crises and challenges that the world is witnessing." He also affirmed, "the desire of the Egyptian government to take serious executive steps and tangible action regarding cooperation between the two countries, by signing memorandums of understanding in the fields of economy." and trade.”
    According to the statement, the Iraqi side expressed "openness towards strengthening bilateral cooperation frameworks with Egypt, and studying the signing of a number of joint agreements during the work of the Joint Higher Committee, which is scheduled to be held during the coming month of May or June."
