Member of the Parliamentary Services Committee, Baqir Al-Saadi, confirmed on Saturday that next year's projects will provide no less than 75,000 job opportunities in 15 Iraqi governorates.

Al-Saadi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The government is proceeding with the service dimension strategy and is looking forward, after the end of the December 18 elections, to launching 1,322 service projects, some of which are strategic, in 15 Iraqi governorates in early 2024.”
He added, "The projects will focus on 11 sectors directly, most notably water, sewerage, electricity, and water resources. They will provide between 75,000 and 80,000 job opportunities and contribute to a real revival of the economy, especially since the projects will stimulate dozens of liberal professions and give high flexibility in transactions between governorates to bring in raw materials."
He pointed out that "the launch of this large number of projects will be according to fixed standards in terms of oversight to block the way for the corrupt to access them."
Most of the governorates are witnessing severe suffering due to the deterioration of services, despite the spending of trillions of dinars for many years on projects due to corruption.
