Sudanese to Erdogan: The path of development is like the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, but the source is Iraqi

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed security coordination between Baghdad and Ankara, while speaking during a press conference about the importance of the development method for the region, pointing to soft areas that need more control and stability, stressing that the development path is an economic river linking the East with the West. Just as the Tigris and Euphrates rivers originate in Turkey and flow into Iraq.
Al-Sudani stated in a joint press conference with the Turkish President, in Baghdad:
Our policy depends on balance and we have principles based on common interests and good neighbourliness.
We signed various agreements with the Turkish side, regarding the water level. We signed agreements that will modernize irrigation systems and will last 10 years, and its impact will be clearly felt, especially with regard to Iraq’s water share.
Today, a four-way memorandum of understanding was signed that includes the principles for the development path.
The development road is an economic river linking the East with the West, extending from Iraq to Turkey and continuing towards Europe, just as the Tigris and Euphrates rivers originate in Turkey and flow into Iraq.
This project is not just a project to shorten distances, but rather it will turn into a bridge linking the peoples and cultures of the region and creating more partnerships between them, and it will also support security and stability in the region.
We touched on discussions about security coordination, to confront the challenges posed by armed elements that may cooperate with terrorism and violate the security of the two countries, as well as the presence of soft areas that need more control and stability. The security of Turkey and Iraq is indivisible, as cooperation between us is important, and with it the relationship is ideal between the two countries.
