Khazali: Iraq's commitment to US sanctions on Iran violated the Strategic Framework Agreement

The political analyst Haitham al-Khazali on Thursday called on the US administration to comply with US sanctions against Iran, a violation of the strategic framework agreement between the two countries.
"The strategic framework agreement signed between Iraq and the United States states that Iraq should not be used to harm other countries," Khazali said in a statement. "The US demand for Iraq to comply with US sanctions violates this agreement."
"The United States, when sanctions are imposed on America, are at the same time sanctions on Iraq because of the intertwining of interests between Iraq and Iran at all levels," Khazali said, adding that "the sanctions that Washington rejects on a number of countries will be repeated as unilateral decisions and not in accordance with international law" .
The French Press Agency reported in a report that half a million Iraqis working in the tourism sector are threatened to lose their work because of the sanctions imposed by the United States on Iran, which led to a decline in the number of Iranian visitors. Ending / 25
