The International Energy and Trade Committee on the US House of Representatives said that the executive director of "Twitter" Jacques Dorsey will testify before the Committee on 5 September.
"The committee plans to ask tough questions about how to monitor Twitter," said Republican Rep. Greg Walden, adding that "the committee is waiting for Dorsey to speak openly and transparently about the company's rules for monitoring and evaluating articles posted on Twitter" .
The United States has accused various actors, including Russia, China and Iran, of trying to influence the US elections through false accounts on Twitter and the practice of "malicious activity" on social networking sites.
