The results of the survey of the measurement of bribery perceptions in the public tax administrations in Baghdad and the provinces showed a rise in the rates of payment of bribery or abuse or delay and obstruction of the completion of the transaction, with the general rate of payment of bribery in the tax departments in Baghdad 14.09 percent, while in the provinces 14.52 The respondents confirmed that the employee's request for a bribe is one of the main reasons for paying it, registering 27.90 percent, and that the method of payment is done in 54.32 percent of cases directly, and 57.02 percent of them indicated that red tape is the main reason for the delay in the completion of transactions that force the reviewer The statement said that the resolution, carried out in cooperation with the Office of the Inspector General of Finance, included 31 departments in Baghdad and 14 provinces with a sample of 3,733 reviewers.
