Al-Amiri: The parliamentary system has proved to be a failure and must be modified to another system that suits our situation

The head of the Fatah Alliance, Hadi al-Amiri, called for replacing the parliamentary system after it proved its failure, while stressing the need to reformulate the political process again.
Al-Amri said in a statement received that "with great respect for all sincere and sincere political initiatives to find a solution to the demands of the Iraqi people expressed by our demonstrators, we see the real solution is the need to re-draft the political process under the ceiling of the Constitution and through fundamental constitutional amendments ”.
He added that "the parliamentary system has proved its failure and no longer works, so it must be adjusted to another system suited to our situation."
He stressed that "local governments (provincial councils and governors) are also proved to fail," stressing the need to "cancel the provincial councils and that the election of the governor directly by the people."
