Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, signed, on Sunday, with his Iranian counterpart, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Muhammad Shariatmadari, a joint action plan for cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two sides in the fields of training, development and social affairs.
After signing the plan, Rikabi said in a statement, "The Iranian minister's visit comes to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and to deal with files related to the work of the two ministries," noting that "the joint work plan included many items and areas of cooperation, and there will be an exchange of experiences and an exchange of delegations of the two countries."
He added, "The plan included cooperation in the field of improving services provided to people with disabilities, as well as training, development and the social security file," noting that "the ministry is looking to expand the base of inclusion in social protection and to benefit from Iranian expertise in this field."
Al-Rikabi added, "The plan has entered into force since now and the extent of its implementation extends for five years, as it includes interest for the segments covered by the services of the Ministry of Labor, the establishment of joint workshops, the exchange of experiences and visits between the two parties, and the initiation of rehabilitation and training courses at the expense of the Iranian side."
According to the statement, the Iranian minister affirmed that "his country is looking forward to expanding relations and cooperation in many areas with Iraq," noting that "the joint work plan between the two ministries includes many areas that are in the interest of the two peoples and include the exchange of skills and specialized experiences. We hope to activate all its provisions to ensure the provision of job opportunities for the youth of the two countries." ".
