    The Hajj Authority said: The Saudi embassy granted politicians a special visa to perform rituals that does not fall within Iraq's quota for this season.
    Meanwhile, the Hajj medical mission began performing its work in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, after opening centers and clinics to provide health services.
    The Director of Relations and Information in the Hajj Authority, Dr. Jamal Al-Badri, said that the authority has not yet obtained approvals from the Saudi side to increase the number of Iraqi pilgrims, as the winners of the lottery will be informed as soon as possible if approval is granted.
    He noted that the Saudi embassy granted Iraqi politicians a special visa to perform Hajj rituals outside Iraq's quota.
    Al-Badri indicated that the number of pilgrims arriving to the Holy Land exceeded 14 thousand, 10 thousand of them in Medina and the rest in Makkah.
    He added that 353 modern buses were equipped to transport more than 7,000 pilgrims by land through the Arar border port. Pilgrims from Medina to Mecca.
    For his part, the head of the Hajj medical mission, Dr. Sabah Noor Al-Moussawi, said that the mission has worked since its arrival to provide preventive and curative services, follow up the work of clinics and medical detachments, monitor drug stores and pharmacies in Makkah and Madinah, in addition to supervising healthy food provided to pilgrims.
    He pointed to holding educational seminars and giving scientific lectures on awareness and prevention of infectious diseases, especially respiratory, digestive and skin diseases, heat stroke, heat stress and food poisoning.
    Al-Moussawi pointed out the opening of the Elaph Central Center in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and strengthening it with specialized doctors, as it receives cases that are transferred from sub-clinics with various diseases, including kidney infection, respiratory infections and emergency cases, and conducting laboratory analyzes, while providing isolation rooms for those infected with Corona, if any.
