The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Friday, the recruitment of a number of former officials of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority; On charges of intentionally committing a breach of their job duties.
The investigation department of the authority stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the investigation judge of the Second Karkh Court issued a recruitment order against three former general directors of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, one of whom held the position of the former Minister of Transport, in addition to the assistant director general of the Aviation Authority." Previously, in the case of violations in the bilateral memorandums of understanding, he concluded between the aviation authority and the civil aviation authorities in the most active countries in the field of passenger transport.
She added, "The Aviation Authority concluded memorandums of understanding with its counterparts in the most active countries, namely (Qatar, the Emirates, Iran, Turkey, Jordan and Bahrain) without an economic feasibility study, in addition to the lack of prior coordination with the Iraqi Airways and other carrier companies, to find out the possibility of implementing the flights specified in the memorandums of understanding.
And she continued, “The investigating judge of the Second Karkh Court decided to bring the accused in accordance with the provisions of Article ( 331) of (QPA) No. (111 of 1969), as amended.” Ended 29 / H
