    Information / Baghdad..
On Thursday, a member of the Parliamentary Services Committee, MP Baqir Al-Saadi, expected the birth of 5 new cities in Erq during 2024.

Al-Saadi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The housing crisis is at the top of the pyramid of the Sudanese government, and there is an important strategy that will be implemented at the beginning of 2024, which is the establishment of modern cities in some governorates by investing in large lands.”
He added, "Five new cities will see the light in 2024 as part of efforts to alleviate the severity of the housing crisis and reduce momentum in the main cities, including Baghdad," pointing out that "the rate of demand for housing units has reached a peak in most governorates."
He pointed out that "there are promising housing projects that will be launched in the near future in several governorates as part of government efforts to provide part of the increasing demand for housing units."
Iraq is suffering from a stifling housing crisis in most governorates, which is offset by weakness in government engagement for years in supporting large housing projects.
