Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian, in a phone call with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein, called for coordinated and effective action by Islamic countries to help Palestine and stop the Zionist entity’s aggressive attacks against women and children in Gaza.
Mehr News Agency reported today, Monday (October 9, 2023), that “Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, discussed with Fouad Hussein, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, in a telephone conversation during consultations on bilateral relations, the current developments in the region and Palestine.”
In this call, the two parties stressed the need for coordination and cohesion between Islamic countries in supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation, and they asked the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to hold an emergency meeting of this organization to review the current developments in Palestine and support the Palestinian nation and Al-Aqsa Mosque against the aggressive actions of the Zionist entity.
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the legitimate right of the Palestinian nation to resist aggression and occupation, and described the spontaneous operations of the Palestinian resistance factions as a natural response to the ongoing aggression and extremist measures of the Zionist entity against Islamic holy sites and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the continuation of crimes and killings against the Palestinian people, especially women, children and Palestinian prisoners.
Amir Abdullahian called on Islamic countries to take coordinated and effective action to help Palestine and stop the aggressive attacks of the Zionist entity against women and children in Gaza and the West Bank.
