Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: Speculation is circulating about plans for a cabinet reshuffle in the coming period in Iraq, as a political source indicates the possibility of making changes in a number of ministerial portfolios.
This move comes more than a year after the Iraqi Parliament granted confidence to the Sudanese government.
According to reports, some critics consider that the Iraqi Prime Minister has introduced a comprehensive services program, but has not made any progress in implementing it.
The government had given its ministers, agents, governors, and advisors a period of 6 months at the beginning of its formation, to evaluate their performance and implement their programs.
Although more than a year has passed since this deadline, the Iraqi government has not taken any amendments or administrative measures yet. The source indicates that the special committee charged with evaluating the performance of government members is still working without taking any regulatory measures.
In this context, the source expects that the amendment will occur in the next two months, as it will include about 4 to 5 ministers in this amendment process.
This information addresses speculation about the possibility of implementing a ministerial reshuffle in Iraq during the coming period, after a long period of time has passed since the formation of the government. The analysis shows that the Iraqi Prime Minister promised a comprehensive services program, however, critics point out his failure to implement this program.
Complaints arise about the delay in taking any amending or evaluating measures on the performance of ministers, despite more than a year having passed since they presented their programmes. The expectation for adjustments in the next two months is due to the need to improve government performance and meet people's expectations.
The analysis shows that there are internal tensions that may be the reason behind this delay, and indicates the importance of evaluating government performance periodically to enhance transparency and improve services provided to citizens.
According to the Iraqi constitution, the Prime Minister can make governmental amendments to his cabinet, provided that the amendments receive a vote of a majority of half plus one in a designated session within Parliament.
The current Iraqi government includes 23 ministries, distributed among political parties, according to a quota system.
