United States of America counted, on Tuesday, the number of its service projects implemented in Iraq since 2015, while it indicated its contribution to the Project Development Fund to provide 1,500 job opportunities for Iraqis.
US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller said in a press conference held in Baghdad on the occasion of the celebration of financing 1,000 small and medium projects with grants from the Enterprise Development Fund and the International Organization for Migration in Iraq, that "the United States has provided Iraq since 2015 with humanitarian and development assistance that has positively affected the lives of Iraqi citizens." ".
He added that "our long-term commitment to the prosperity of the Iraqi people, whether in the field of health, education, or construction after the era of ISIS, or helping Iraqi entrepreneurs to the success of the economy and business," noting that "we continue with this commitment."
He pointed out, "The United States is the largest single donor of humanitarian aid in Iraq to ensure the safety and well-being of the displaced residents as a result of the conflict against ISIS," noting that "since 2014, the United States has provided more than $3 billion in rescue humanitarian aid to displaced Iraqis in Iraq."
He continued, "Since 2015, the United States of America has implemented 850 infrastructure projects to restore basic services that were destroyed by ISIS. We have reconstructed more than 140 schools, 62 water treatment plants, and 17 sub-electricity stations.
