The Minister of State for Information Affairs, the official spokesman for the Jordanian government, Faisal Shboul, announced on Thursday that the cost of the electrical connection between Iraq and Jordan amounts to 130 million dollars.
Al-Shboul said in a press statement on the sidelines of laying the foundation stone for the electrical connection project, that "Iraq will bear about $100 million, and the cost of the part related to Jordan will be about $30 million."
He added, "We are completely ready for the connection, and the start of the connection will be very soon, and the Iraqi side needs until next summer to connect."
