    Economy News - Baghdad
Today, Friday, the head of the Parliamentary Agriculture, Water and Marshlands Committee, Faleh Al-Khazali, called on the government to end the file of unofficial border crossings in the Kurdistan region, which number 22 “outside federal control.”
Al-Khazali said in a blog post seen by Al-Iqtisad News, “The automation system is important at the border crossings and is credited to the Ministry of Finance, the Sudanese government, and the Federal Ports Authority.”
Al-Khazali pointed to “the region’s ports (because there are) more than 22 ports outside federal control,” considering this “a challenge to local industry and agriculture and a major challenge to the decisions of the Federal Court.”
Al-Khazali called on the government to “end this file within a specific time limit as per the provisions of the law.”
