    Information/Baghdad...
After the Independent High Electoral Commission in Iraq completed the file of the sixth elections for the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, the intensity of competition quickly increased, and it began early between the Kurdish parties, through which the features of the form of the new government and the nature of the alliances that will emerge were drawn, despite the fact that the results of the voting process have not been announced.
It seems that there is a desire to bring about change in the region and redraw the political map anew among the parties participating in the elections, at a time when some parties are looking to assume absolute power, while other parties believe that the regional government should be formed from all parties in order to be representative of everyone without the monopoly of power by certain parties.
“The Democratic Party, along with some other parties in the region, do not believe in the principle and concept of changing the ruling authority through holding elections,” Luqman Hassan, a member of the Kurdish Takfiri Azadi Movement, told Al-Maalouma. “All possibilities are open regarding the Democratic Party, and it may be outside the political process, and may not agree to the election results and obstruct the handover of power and positions it dominates in Kurdistan. This also applies to the rest of the parties controlling power in the region.”

On the other hand, the member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Mahmoud Khoshnaw, confirmed that "the Patriotic Union, the New Generation, the Islamic Justice Party, and the Change Movement have similar points of view, and the legal timing obliges the blocs to form the government in the region as soon as possible, especially since the political equation in the region is different from the past."
The same party member, Burhan Al-Sheikh Raouf, explained to Al-Maalouma that “the negotiations between the winning parties will be difficult, as no party will be able to form the government alone without forming an alliance with the other parties, which will constitute a difficulty at the current stage before the birth of the new government in the region.”
On the other hand, the member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Subhi Al-Mandlawi, said that “his party has surpassed the other parties in terms of the number of votes in the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections according to the initial results, and it may obtain 45 seats in Parliament,” stressing that “the next stage will witness this party’s alliance with other parties within the region in order to form the new government.”

The Electoral Commission announced through the director of its office in Kurdistan, in a press conference followed by / Al-Maalouma /, that "the electoral process for the general vote for the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections ended successfully, as the voting machines worked well and minor problems occurred that were addressed immediately, as the voting process witnessed a total participation of 72 percent, distributed among the governorates of Erbil 74%, Sulaymaniyah 65%, Dohuk 78%, and Halabja 69%."
