Finance Minister Fuad Mohammed Hussein officially began his duties as deputy prime minister for economic affairs in his office in Baghdad.

A statement from the ministry received "Al-Nour News" a copy of it that Hussein "met with the advanced cadres in the office in addition to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and Inspector General of the Ministry and listened to an explanation of the functions of the Office and the most important files that fall within his responsibilities in addition to the Committee on Economic Affairs."

He pointed out that "the need to draw oil revenues and the rest of the resources and financial returns that accompany the state budget to build investment projects and a strategy to maximize imports and not rely on the unilateral aspect of resources."

Hussein pointed out to "the need to promote the industrial, agricultural and tourism reality and support the private sector in order to stimulate the economy and create jobs."
